This collection of fiction is essentially a series of short stories centered on the lives of each of the people featured in Ainger's paintings, titled "Grant AID". Dr. Grant Ainger has been pursuing a career as a guitarist, songwriter and visual artist since 1994. He has released several full-length albums and numerous singles and EPs, and has performed across the United States, Europe and Japan. His first full length album "The General Theory of What I Need" was released in 2001 on the Boston based record label "Fluide 3". In 2007, he was signed to the Memphis based record label "Cover Me" releasing his second full length album "Songs For The Culturally Deaf". His third album release was one of his most well known recordings titled 'Devil's Road' which was recorded by local independent artist Bruce Moore in Huntsville Alabama. Dr. Ainger was the second artist to record at The Foundry, a recording studio owned and operated by Moore. Devil's Road was released on Cover Me Recordings in 2009. In 2012, "Songs For The Culturally Deaf" was re-released as a remastered edition on Cover Me Recordings and featured three additional bonus tracks; "Origin of My Species", "Hollywood For Hurting", and "Not Your Fault". Ainger is working with his band members to record a new album that will be released in late 2013 or early 2014. Grant has been creating paintings since 1980 and is primarily self-taught.
